Koshiishi, Azumi, Hosono discuss responses to North Korean missile launch announcement

On the evening of December 2 at party headquarters, Secretary General Azuma Koshiishi, Acting Secretary General Jun Azumi, and Policy Research Committee Chair Goshi Hosono received detailed briefings from the relevant ministries and held discussions on the appropriate course of action in response to the announcement by North Korea of its plans to conduct a missile launch.
After the meeting Hosono spoke to the press, stating “The Government should take all possible measures to manage this critical situation. We have confirmed that the DPJ as a whole will support the efforts of the Government as well. We will request that the Prime Minister and other relevant ministers assign the highest priority to their official duties regarding responding to the situation.”
