International Department Director General Fujita makes condolence call to French Embassy

On January 14, the Director General of the DPJ International Department, Yukihisa Fujita, made a condolence call to the French Embassy in Japan and signed the book of condolences for the series of terrorist attacks that took place in Paris.
Fujita told Mr. Paul-Bertrand Barets, Minister Counsellor, “As I already stated in a letter of sympathy sent to your Ambassador, I would like to express my deepest condolences and my heartfelt prayers to the victims of these atrocities, to their families and to the people of France. Such acts of terrorism are unforgivable. The global community must stand firm and work together to defeat these acts. I pledge that the DPJ will do our utmost in every field.”
Minister Counsellor, Mr. Barets expressed his gratitude for Fujita’s visit and told him, “This year marks the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII. At such a time, we would like to continue to deepen dialogue and exchanges between France and Japan.”
