On December 12, DPJ Secretary General Ichiro Ozawa had a private meeting of approximately 2 hours with the President of the Republic of Korea Lee Myung-bak at the Blue House in Seoul.
The meeting was requested by the Korean side, and was held as private dinner meeting without any other attendees. Discussions took place in a relaxed manner throughout, with the two men pouring each other drinks. Following the meeting, President Lee escorted Ozawa to his car.
It appears that the two men engaged in a frank exchange of opinions regarding the creation of a new Japan-Korean relationship, and the various issues facing the Far-East.
