On June 17, DPJ Policy Research Committee Chair and Minister of State Koichiro Gemba received a courtesy call from Chinese Ambassador Cheng Yonghua in the Minister’s office. In response to Gemba’s words of welcome, Cheng congratulated him on his appointments as Policy Research Committee Chair and Minister of State.
The two sides agreed that the relationship of close communication that had already been created between the leaders of both nations was extremely important, and that exchanges between Japan and China had deepened in recent years, and a frank relationship had been developed.
