On July 22, DPJ Secretary General Yukio Edano received a courtesy call from United States Ambassador John V. Roos at party headquarters.
The meeting was also attended by Director-General of the DPJ International Department Yutaka Banno for the DPJ, and Robert Luke, Political Minister Counsellor and John Mark Pommersheim, Deputy Chief of the Political Section from the Embassy.
