On October 19, DPJ Secretary General Katsuya Okada met with Senior Advisor at the US State Department's Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Rust Deming, and exchanged views on a variety of foreign and domestic policy issues. The meeting was also attended by the Political Minister-Counsellor at the US Embassy in Japan, Robert Luke and DPJ International Department Director-General Chinami Nishimura.
