The 555th meeting of the DPJ Standing Officers Council was held in the Diet building on June 27. Secretary General Azuma Koshiishi reported at the start of the meeting that the decision was made at the meeting of party executives yesterday that the DPJ President and Secretary General will draft a plan for actions for DPJ Diet members who did not vote for the legislation on the comprehensive reform of the social security and taxation systems.
After Koshiishi’s statement, Acting Secretary General Shinji Tarutoko explained the guidelines for party ethics with regard to internal procedures, and the standing officers exchanged views.
