PM Noda presents certificate of honor to Japanese National Team members of 2012 London Olympics

On the evening of August 20, Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda invited the members of the Japanese National Team of the 2012 London Olympics to the Prime Minister's Office. Noda praised the members for their achievements and presented them with a certificate of honor. In the 2012 London Olympics, the Japanese National Team won 38 medals (seven gold, 14 silver, and 17 bronze), exceeding the past record of 37 medals in the 2004 Athens Olympics. The team also established a new record with 80 top-eight finishes.
