On June 18, a meeting of the DPJ’s Next Cabinet was held inside the Diet building, and the policies to be included in the 2013 Manifesto were decided. In addition, “The DPJ stance on the revision of the Child Pornography Law” was approved, and discussion undertaken on various pieces of legislation, including the partial revision of the law restricting stalkers.
In a press conference following the meeting, DPJ Policy Research Committee Chair Mitsuru Sakurai expressed strong concern regarding the impact Abenomics would have on the lives of the Japanese people, saying that it would have strong side effects without the corresponding treatment being provided.
