On July 19, the DPJ convened the 2nd National Meeting of DPJ Youth Committee in Sapporo, at which DPJ President Banri Kaieda delivered remarks.
Kaieda began by thanking the many young Diet members who traveled to Shiga Prefecture and contributed significantly to Taizo Mikazuki’s emergence as the Governor of Shiga Prefecture.
Kaieda commented that the unified local elections next spring were critically important, and went on to express his determination to secure a DPJ victory.
