Kaieda receives courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah, President of the House of Counsellors of Morocco

On September 10, DPJ President Banri Kaieda received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Biadillah, President of the House of Counsellors of Morocco.
At the outset, Kaieda welcomed H.E. Mr. Biadillah and stressed the importance of exchanges between the two sides, saying, “I visited Morocco about ten years ago, and I think that going forwards, exchanges between parliament members of both countries should continue to be promoted.”
H.E. Mr. Biadillah expressed his gratitude and referred to the close relationship between the Japanese Imperial Family and the Moroccan Royal Family, as well as the Japan-Morocco economic relationship including Japanese investment and job creation in Morocco. While expressing his hope for increased South-South cooperation for development south of the Sub-Sahara Desert, he also explained the political situation and reforms in the country. He ended his remarks by asking Kaieda to pay a visit to Morocco.
Kaieda stated that he received the invitation from the President of the Moroccan House of Representatives and expressed his desire to visit in the near future.
The meeting was also attended by: Akira Gunji, Chair, the DPJ caucus, House of Councillors; Yuichiro Hata, Secretary General, the DPJ caucus, House of Councillors; and Satoshi Arai, Director-General, Executive Office.
